     The calm silence had filled the air as the young meister was on her bed asleep. Her soft breaths were barley heard in her room. She was as peacefully as the soft wind blowing gently against her window. As she pulled the blanket slightly over her head she turned to her side, facing her wooden nightstand and her phone on the counter. The peaceful silence finally was put to a end as her phone vibrated. She opened one of her eyes and drowsily got her phone and flipped it open to her ear. She then noticed that it was Professor Stein and he was informing her about Kid. Once he had finished telling her what had happened she was paralyzed. She then hung up and quickly brushed her teeth, did her hair, and put on her clothes in just 8 minutes. She ran out the door leaving her weapon and Blair. 'It can't be that bad' , she thought. Maybe it would be alright. Or maybe not..

Maka POV:

      I ran as fast as I could. Stein had said that Kid was injured and there was a bloody scene at the hospital. Of course, I didn't want to believe him since I did see Kid safe and sound at the hospital ,but I knew it was no joke. I just really hope it isn't as worse as I thought. Finally, I had reached the hospital and not even hesitating to check myself in or anything. I didn't care for it at this moment. Once at the level where they kept my reaper friend was supposed to be , I saw a group of people from the DWMA and the police at his room. I could see the red blood on the floor. I slowed down and stopped in the middle of the hall ,shaking so much my legs were about to give in. I clenched my fist and clenched my teeth together. That's when Professor Stein had walked out of the room and waved for me to come. I sat down with the professor, hoping to get a explanation. I looked at the floor quietly. We sat there, for what felt like hours until he had finally spoken up.

''Do you know how bad the situation is?'', Stein said as he looked down at me. I gently looked up at him until I quickly put my head down again. I didn't want to know, but in the back of mind I just had to.

'' N-no..I don't know what h-happened exactly but I'm sure it's not that h-horrible'', I stuttered as I looked at him with a nervous expression. He looked at me blankly as his pockets went into his lab coat and he gave a big sigh.

''Maka.. he would have been dead if we had not have found his body on the floor... I want you to understand that I would have no reason to call you if this issue was not serious'', The mad professor said as he stared at me. It almost seemed like he didn't give a shit and that pissed me off. It was unsettling to think of Kid with enough pain to try and kill himself that one night. I still won't allow myself to believe it. It hurt so much when Kid admitted it, since I was always so happy when I saw his generous smile and then to know that it was probably just a fake smile made my heart break even more. I don't want to ever tell him I'm falling for him. It would just burden him even more, he already has a lot of emotional ''stuff'' going on and I really don't want him to be stressed.

''Right.. so.. what did they do with Kid?'', I whispered gently. I looked up at him hoping to see a very calm explanation that wasn't a very bad outcome. I was dead wrong. 

''I don't know.'' He put his hands in his pocket and looked gloomily at the floor.

''W-What do you mean you don't know?!'', I stood up and looked at him with a questioned look. I wanted to know what happened to Kid and I wanted to know now. 

''Well.. I don't exactly have that information yet. The only person with that information is probably Sid or Lord death..'', he stood up as he gave me a final look until he walked away. He stopped in the middle of the hall and said one final thing to me,''That's the only thing I can tell you.'' He then continued to walk away as I watched him go, curious about his answer. I decided to waste no time and started to head for Lord death's room. When I reached his door, I felt no care for the dumb door in my way and broke it open with a kick. I wasn't the only one there. The whole gang was there. 

'' Oh.. Hello, Maka!'', exclaimed Lord death. It seemed that he was not wearing his mask today. 'Why was that?', I thought to myself.

''Erm.. Uh.. S-sorry about the door..'', I nervously said as I smiled and sweatdropped. 

''When did you get here?'', I looked over at the source of that question as I saw Soul.

''Soul! When did you get here?'', I asked. I left that morning and he was asleep. Wait... was he?!

''I got here a little while ago..?'', Soul said with a sweatdrop. I could of Maka chopped him but of course we were interrupted by a 'purposely' loud cough. 

''Anyways.. we all are here to discuss Kid , right?'', Lord death exclaimed. We all nodded and looked back at him. It was unusually quiet. I looked up to Liz and Patty who looked like a emotional wreck, were silent. I then looked to my left to see Black star and Tsubaki who looked way too serious and were silent also. I then looked back to Lord death.

''You see ... after that ''situation'' happened we had to take him somewhere where nothing could hurt him, not even himself.. so..-'', Lord death paused. He looked down as he took a big breath and continued,''-W-we had him taken to a mental hospital..'', Lord death finally whispered. We all looked at him eyes widening with the most surprised expression you could get.

''L-Lord death, I don't understand, OUT OF ALL THE PLACES YOU COULD HAVE TOOK HIM.. WHY..would...you..do...that?!, Liz yelled as she sunk to the ground with wobbly legs. Her yell then became a silent whisper. She became utterly confused until a emotional Patty put her hand on her to comfort her. They both were on the verge of crying.

''I'm sorry, but that is the only place where.. he would be safe'', Lord death whispered. It seemed that he was just as upset as them.


''Why resort to this though?!'', Black star shakily said as he clenched his fists. He was as furious as any person in the room. Lord death became quiet.


''It's hard to believe that he became deadly injured while in the hospital and.. we still need details so..'', Lord death said as he waved to someone to come inside.

          There stood Sid with someone in a wheelchair and a straightjacket. I stared at him until it clicked. No. Why?! 

''Kid..'', I whispered.

          We all then started to hear giggling as Kid looked up with a insane look and wide smile. He continued to laugh as everyone looked horrified at him.

''Aww.. Did you all miss me?'', Kid smirked as his clouded eyes looked up at us. His mad laugh started to give us chills and made me ask a question that I knew was on all of our minds.

          Why is all of this happening?!
